To ensure the safety of the people we seek, we need to understand the biological mechanisms of humans. VR has been developed mainly for sight and hearing, but in order to improve sensitivity in the event of an occupational accident, it is possible to use the sense of balance, skin sensation, and tactile sensation felt by the body together to inform the fear of injury to the human body. It has been found that sensitivity improves. On the contrary, it is also known that the events that can convey fear only by sight are limited to very few cases. It is very difficult to improve the sense of danger only by the fear on the image. On the other hand, there are cases where it gives extra fear and works in the negative direction to improve sensitivity.
In this way, sensitivity improvement VR is a mechanism that reproduces the five senses, makes you feel the fear of a disaster, and works directly on your heart. Therefore, it is necessary to appropriately control the amount of sensory stimulation and, in some cases, adjust the amount of stimulation according to each person’s sensitivity. Therefore, we feel the need to study the fields of sensory organs, nerves, brain chemistry, and psychology and incorporate them as elemental technologies necessary for the system in order to improve human safety. Engineers who already have medical knowledge will join the system development and build a new issue resilience system while considering human safety.
