Q5. According to you, what are the technological advances in this industry? What advanced technology does your system use to provide the best service?
A5. Virtual reality has advanced around visual reproduction. In the future, virtual reality needs to be developed as a more human-friendly and more advanced means of communication, and it is necessary to build a system that includes five senses beyond sight. When communicating through the five senses, we face new challenges. Therefore, its realization requires more specialized knowledge of sensory system, nervous system, brain chemistry, psychological effects, etc. We have various specialized knowledge in-house to solve the problems we face, and we will cooperate with research institutes to carry out integrated research and development to contribute to society.
Q6. Your company has worked with several industries of various sizes. Can you provide one or two case studies that explain the challenges facing your clients? And how did the solution help overcome those challenges?
A6. In terms of responding to natural disasters, Japan needed to decommission the nuclear power plant in Fukushima after the big earthquake. We are following the government’s request to decommission the nuclear power plant in Japan. In order to ensure safety, we are developing and providing a simulator for simulating decommissioning work on VR, improving and deciding work methods, and deciding a series of work processes. Improvements to support this task are still ongoing.
Q7. How will your company’s roadmap proceed from a technical and geographical perspective?
A7. The method of improving safety is a culture that has become established in society under the Japanese environment. I think there are many companies that are serious about this theme, but there are few companies that specialize in safety. The safety method using VR, which was born in this harsh Japanese environment, is one of the answers that we have faced and guided for 20 years. This technology, which was born in Japan, is a technology that can be used overseas. We will spread this safety technology to the world.
